Adellion (adellion.com) is operated by iSimplifyMe LLC, 1150 N Hoyne, Chicago, IL 60622 (“iSimplifyMe”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use Adellion, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. For visitors in the European Union and the United Kingdom, iSimplifyMe LLC is the controller of the personal data described here.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Newsletter signup: your email address.
- Contact form: your name, email address and message.
- The “Ask a question” assistant: the messages you type. If you reach the assistant’s message limit and choose to leave your details, we also receive your name, email address and question.
Information collected automatically
- Device and request data: your IP address, browser type, the page you requested and when, and the site that referred you. Like any website, our servers receive this with each request and may keep it in logs.
- How you found us: a cookie records where your visit came from (for example a search engine, a campaign or another site) and the page you landed on. If you send us a newsletter signup or contact form, we attach this to your submission so we can see which pages and channels lead to it.
- Arrivals from AI assistants: if you reach Adellion from an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Perplexity, a cookie notes which one for an hour, and we may adjust the page for you.
- Visit history in your browser: your browser stores the time of your first and latest visit and how many visits you have made, so the site can adjust some prompts for returning visitors. This stays in your browser; the site does not send it to us.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and how they move through the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives your IP address and device information.

How we use it
- to send the newsletter you signed up for and to reply to your messages;
- to run the assistant, and to review its conversations so we can improve its answers and our guides;
- to understand which content is useful and how visitors find us;
- to keep Adellion secure and working, including preventing spam and abuse (for example, limiting how many assistant messages one visitor can send);
- to comply with the law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
The “Ask a question” assistant
The assistant is an AI system. Your messages go to our own platform, which generates answers with Anthropic’s Claude models running on Amazon Bedrock, part of Amazon Web Services. We store each conversation, including the messages, the page you asked from, your IP address, your browser type and, if you arrived from an AI assistant, which one, so we can review and improve the answers.
The assistant’s answers can be wrong, so check anything important before you rely on it. Please don’t type sensitive personal information into the chat.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that run parts of Adellion for us, and only for that purpose:
- Amazon Web Services: hosting and content delivery, email delivery (Amazon SES), and the AI models behind the assistant (Amazon Bedrock).
- Google: Google Analytics; Google Workspace, where our email is hosted; and reCAPTCHA, which checks newsletter and contact form submissions for spam and loads when you submit one. This site is protected by reCAPTCHA, and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
- Adobe Fonts: serves the site’s fonts. Your browser requests them from Adobe, which receives your IP address and browser information and counts page views for font licensing.
- Image hosts: some images in our guides load from third-party servers, which receive your IP address and browser information when they deliver them.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, sale or reorganization of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
Amazon Associates and other links
Amazon Associates: some of our reviews link to products on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, iSimplifyMe earns from qualifying purchases. Amazon may set its own cookies when you follow one of those links; those cookies are governed by Amazon’s privacy notice, not this policy.
Other links take you to sites we don’t control, and their own privacy policies apply there.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter: your email address, until you ask us to remove it.
- Messages and assistant conversations: for as long as they help us answer you and improve Adellion. We delete them sooner if you ask.
- Request logs: only as long as we need them for security and troubleshooting.
- Analytics: for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, give you a copy, or stop using it for a particular purpose. Email nexus@adellion.com. We will reply within the time the law requires, and we may need to confirm your identity first. You won’t be treated differently for making a request.
In the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we ask before setting analytics, attribution and personalization cookies, and anyone can change that choice in the settings on our Cookie Policy page. You can also block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; most of Adellion works without them. To opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit, use Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
European Union and United Kingdom: we rely on the following legal bases: doing what you ask of us (sending the newsletter, answering your message, running the assistant); your consent, for the analytics, attribution and personalization cookies described in our Cookie Policy, which you can withdraw at any time there; our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving Adellion; and compliance with legal obligations. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. Our service providers process data in the United States and elsewhere.
California: in the past 12 months we collected identifiers (such as your email address and IP address), internet activity (such as pages viewed and the referring site) and the content of messages you send us. We collected them from you and your device for the purposes above, and disclosed them to the service providers listed above for those purposes. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not ask for sensitive personal information, and we do not use it to infer characteristics about you. Because there is nothing to opt out of, Adellion does not change how it works in response to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals.
Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please don’t use the newsletter, the contact form or the assistant. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email nexus@adellion.com and we will delete it.
Security
We protect information with safeguards such as encryption in transit and restricted access, but no method of sending or storing data is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date below.
