Yvoroc is a deadly disease, which is quite common in many parts of Adellion. In many Aryiuran cultures it is common belief that it was the true Deities who during the age of Prophecy punished mankind by letting Yvoroc strike those that spread false teachings. If this is true or not is unknown, but it has been a hazard to life for as long as anyone can remember.
Cause
The exact cause of Yvoroc is unknown, but most religions claim that it in some manner is related to lack of faith and a punishment thereof while atheists generally view it as some form of hereditary disease.
Symptoms
Contrary to the cause, the symptoms of Yvoroc are very well-known. Initial stages generally include incomprehensible ramblings from the victim and a complete lack of connection and understanding for life. In some cases the victim becomes completely delusional, believing and acting as if they are from another world. Once the disease strikes, the madness is usually prevalent as unorthodox use of language, dress-code and behaviour in general becomes a permanent aspect of their persona. When the disease is far-gone, the victim makes no sense at all and it is generally dangerous to even try and approach them, as violent behaviour is very common. There is generally a desire on the part of the victim to try and disturb or destroy their surroundings, without regrets. While the exact reason for this behavior is unknown, victims of Yvoroc has claimed to view life itself as completely meaningless and that they find pleasure in its destruction. In the final stage the victim is generally raging mad and in a complete fury, which causes a heartattack, soon followed by death.
Cure
There is no known cure for Yvoroc and too often the victims are either slain by someone who can not bear to listen to their ramblings or by the disease itself. In some cases extreme efforts to regain sanity on the part of the victim, with some help from a caring surrounding has made them able to lead a more normal life where the symptoms have eventually vanished completely.
