Rivers of Tariana

Tariana is blessed by countless rivers flowing to the sea from the snow-capped peaks of the mountain ranges that cross the land. I have compiled below a list of the major rivers of Tariana.

The River Lyth or Lythfljot

Flowing through the center of the district of Venar in eastern Tariana, the River Lyth is the longest river in the land. It is a powerful river, flowing eastward toward the Dalmite frontier, where it then curves to the north and flows to the sea.

The Harmurfljot

Also known as the River of Sorrow, the Harmurfljot flows south from the Vrol Sea past the city of Morryntor, and into the southern guile.

The Heimfljot

The Heimfljot flows to the southwest from the Kyronn, the inner lake that the capital Adokon rises beside. It is a wide river, allowing boat travel between the Kyronn and the western sea.

The Nordurfljot

The River of the North has its source east of Ganxya and flows north pat Tynal-Drul to the northern sea.

The Isfljot

The River of Ice is found in the southern half of the empire, and divides the districts of Southsea and Guilewatch. It earns its name for the upper reaches of the river experience freezing almost year round, except for the mid-summer months. The water is very cold when it meets the sea.

The Frostfljot

The River of Frost is similar to the rover of Ice, yet shorter. It is found flowing south through the center of Guilewatch past the city of Mor Del

The Sudurfljot

This river flows south through the middle of Southsea to its mouth near Nysess.
