The Tarian Empire is the home of the Tarian people. Formerly known as Tarans, the original culture had no single power to serve. Rather, the Tarans lived in clans, each clan claiming a tract of land, usually a large valley, to call their own. Towns arose within the valleys, at first the gathering places for clans. Some clans eventually merged into larger groups.

Tariana is divided into nine different districts. These do to an extent represent the various clans that once controlled the region.
"The Heart of Tariana" lies at the centre of the Empire and Adokon, the capital of the empire and Rahkzan's seat of power lies here.
"District of Venar" is Tariana's most forested area and supplies lumber to all corners of the Empire.
