  The Village of Omest

Situated close to the City of Sakril and just east of Spider Valley, The small village of Omest makes its name in many ways. The ruins nearby Allow for many scholars and similar types to populate the village at any given time, but the real prophet comes from the towns relative location to the river-valley dubbed “Spider Valley” in which puts the village in the perfect place for farmland.

Village life

The small village of Omest is a living museum to some, a virtual paradise in the desert for others. Many traders try to avoid this town for one thing or the other, however. The people of Omest don’t tend to like fighting and thus have no need for many weapons. The fact that the capital city is so close along with the fact that the village is usually littered with troops sent there to protect the nearby ruins all adds to the villages lack of use for weapons and armor.

This is all not to say that agricultural work does not flourish here. Aside from farms here. Bakers who use the fresh ingredients before exporting some foods often can be found here. Builders, fisherman, and resource gatherers whom have acquired the right kind of permissions all can be found here for hire.

Geography and Climate

The village of Omest is far enough north from the southern coast not to be effected by the sometimes brutal waves from the sea and the heavy winds. However it is close enough to water not to have the same ‘arid’ dry atmosphere as most all other desert towns. The land is mostly flat and very little actual plant-life grows here without it being planted using farming methods and similar methods. However because of the atmosphere most plants farmed here can grow rather well with the right care. Its still an unfortunate truth that its still rather costly to successfully run a farm within the dry desert of Aryiure.
