Daular originally spawned from encampments of refugees fleeing north after a battle of succession in what used to be a larger town to the south. Daular has long since been a village held highly amongst the highest Sakoian authorities. Daular makes most of its living accommodating and equipping local soldiers guarding the coveted Aern Noer oasis to the southeast. Those living in this village are usually hearty and boisterous in nature, and it isn’t an uncommon sight to see Soldiers and Sarns mingling in with the local populace here.

Village Life

Many weapon smiths and armor smiths come from far around and even other cultures to travel to Daular and set up business of types. Needless to say, This small village gets far more than its fair share of travelers and traders. In fact It is Sakoian military tradition for many regiments to have new soldiers acquire their first personal sword from a Daularian Smith!

Other than ironworks Daular makes its living with a vibrant artistic community often mostly made up of poets and singers whom gather together in the village square to tell tales of war and strife, and happiness to the village folk and Military Personnel. The distance from the southern waters makes it ideal for fisherman to return to, and a small dock area is built into the waters south of the village, so that fisherman may easier brave the waters to get their catch to Daular and other trade route cities without having to venture all the way to Sakril.

Geography and Climate

Daular is a Village located near Aern Noer, which is highly populated with passersby whom are either stopping off to trade before going east to Verem or west to Sakril, or who wish to see the many splendid arts and crafts made by local craftsmen and Blacksmiths. The arid atmosphere doesn’t appear to effect these folk much at all. Oftentimes parties and dances will be held to celebrate rainstorms, and each year the village holds local events in praise the balance between life and death that exists within the desert. Rocky terrain, Sandstorms, and even drought don’t seem to be enough to deter the citizens of Daular from their day to day lives. Nor does it seem to effect their spirits.
