The FAQs (http://www.adellion.com/faq.php) has undergone a serious renovation! Not only is it longer and more detailed but its organized in a way that is easy to read. Enjoy!
Please read the FAQs before asking questions. They might be answered there. If not, feel free to ask for clarification on the forums.
Thanks!

When clicking on one of the links, it does not go anywhere or do anything, this is either something wrong with my comp, or there is an error somewhere in there.

Spooks, can you be more specific and tell me what link is giving you trouble?

In the F.A.Q. i cliick on one of the quetions at the top (For example What is Adellion?) (http://www.adellion.com/faq.php#beta1)
It wont send me to the section that talks about What Adellion Is. Isn't it sopposed to? It does that with all the links from Adellion and Beta to Maintenance. If you want me to be even more spicific i can try.
Even try the link, it wont send you to that part of the page, it will only send you to the F.A.Q.

It works for me. Anyway, I like the new FAQ!
Very nice job with the new FAQs, I just got a chance to read through them. I did not turn up answers in a forum search for the following questions so I hope they are not redundant. I can move each of these questions to new threads if desired:
1) Do the survival skills effect player movement speed and/or foraging skill? Can I run away and escape better from an enemy in a particular terrain if I have that survival skill? Can I forage better and/or more useful stuff if I have that survival skill? Do we benefit on both accounts with the survival skill?
2) The FAQ says that players eventually 'discover' hidden sub-skills. How is that discovery revealed to the player? A text message from the system? I am curious because we may not even know a sub-skill exists so we may not know to try something new. Are subskills only revealed through apprentiships?

Wow...pretty extensive. Took a long time to read too...hehe.

1.) Yes, survival skills affect movement and foraging skills..maybe not speed but certainly stamina...so you stop and rest less often. You will be better at foraging in a familiar environment.
2.) We may be eliminating this part and having a logical succession in the skills. It should be obvious to you somehow if you have accessed hidden skills if we keep those in the game.

(not sure where i should post this so sorry if its in the wrong spot)
How will homes and other buildings be constructed? You just collect enough wood then click and presto its there or ???
Will there be a certain distant in which towns and buildings are constructed next to each other?
Will you be able to build a small wall with a gate around your house so that noone but you and who you say can come in?(i mean aside from the lock pickers who will eventually be able to pick the lock)and will you be able to build traps and put them in your home so that tresspassers will be maimed or im some cases killed?
Will there be trebuchets and if so will you be able to use it to shoot a dead body over a wall to cause disease?

To answer your question about buildings, you won't be able to just click on an area after enough resources are collected. You have to have people who are skilled at building to make the building, and it will finish as fast as the rate they work and what not.

will i have to place the wood ? or will it automatically be placed?and dose it have to be made from wood?
Dregen

There will be forests..but if you are in Dalmite territory you need special permission to cut down trees. You have to collect the wood and build with it just like in real life, nothing is placed there easily for you. I'm not really sure if there is anything else you could make a house out of..
I hope this helps..

will you be able to build/buy boats and live on them ?if you can live on them will you be able to hire NPC's to man the parts of the boats like the sails and rudder ?
How will the Stables work?If I build a stable will I have to capture the horses?
If I have to capture the horses will I have to break them after?
(i've asked this question before)>if i build a house with a wall around it will i be able to build a gate that keeps everyone out?(except those who pick locks obviously)
Will i be able to buy/create traps that i can place in my house for instance incase a thief tries to rob my home?

You can buy boats, I suppose you could live on one if you wish, I just hope it does not get stolen.
You do have to capture wild horses, you can sell them to the military or personal riders, or build a farm. As long as you can tame them.
I'm guessing a house with a wall around it is a gate, and if you have the money I suppose you could build a gate and have NPC's guard it for you.

Welcome, Tokugawa. Houses will require both the raw resources (wood, nails, etc.) and a skilled builder. It will take time to build a house and will not immediately appear. Plus, they won't be cheap to build or maintain. Certain land will be available for building...towns will have their own restrictions on where you can build as will some cultures.
You can build walls but like houses, they can be bypassed by a skillful thief. You can hire NPC guards to watch your house though.
The use of traps is still unknown at this time but you probably will not be able to use traps to cause lethal damage to trespassers.
You can buy/build a boat. They are built very similar to how houses are built...with the raw resources and the skill. Again, they take time and lots of money. You can live on a boat if you wish but you need players to sail the boat.
You can either buy a horse from someone or capture one and tame it if you wish to take the time to do so.
Thanks, Dregen! You did a great job.

You will be able to practice archery without killing animals. Dalmites are mostly vegetarian as well and they have archery contests using targets. So they will be in the game.

what about that part ^
...sorry if i ask to many questions but since i've started playing games i've been waiting for a game like this..i dislike(dislike is the best word i could think of well..aside HATE! but thats a bit harsh) 100% Hack&slash games
I have tons of questions and im trying to read all the posts so i dont re-ask questions but well reading 39,000+ posts and remembering all the info is well nearly impossiable

I can't answer this one yet...I would guess that a person would not get hurt based on other current games.

From the description of them being kinda pirate/bandit like are the Atheians considered to be loners?
And uh lets see i think it was refered to as Macroing when you stand somewhere doing something and not talking to anyone right? well anyway
say i was a farmer or trader or an author and i had a Quota/book i needed to fill/write and so i didnt say anything from being busy and wasnt watching the chat thing when someone asked me a question or a mod came up and sed something and i didnt reply would that be considered macroing?i tend to get caught up in what im doing and not watching the chat thing/s unless the chat thing made some sort of a noise and not all text i mean then i might notice but if it is/was text only (i think i read somewhere that chars would sort of talk i dont remember) thing it might seem like im ignoring them or something ..?..

Pirates are not loners...they work in crews. A loner pirate would be rather unusual, I think. ;) Remember though, not all Aetheans are pirates.
Macroing is writing a program to get an advantage over other players.
Adellion is a roleplaying game. If someone cames and talks to you, you should roleplay the response. If you are absolutely silent and continue with your work, they might think you are macroing. Since players might target macroers, you really should at least say something back to them. Its not that hard to do and remember, the focus of Adellion IS roleplay. If you want to play alone, I highly recommend Tales in the Desert.

That reminds me of a certain scene in Blackadder..
Blackadder: I thought it was common maritime practice for a ship to have a crew.
Captain: Nay! Oppinion be divided. All other captains say it is. I say it isn't!
Sorry to sway off topic.

well i didnt mean i would intentionally ignore them just maybe if i was writing a book i would be more concentrated in thought and trying to come up with something worth reading|or maybe a farmer or a trader i would be trying to meet a quota and not notice because i was so ' immersed ' in what i was doing that i didnt notice it. oh and playing alone is boring :P i like talking to people but as most/all of my friends from other games will probably tell you.. that alot of times they thought i was ignoring them because i was so caught up in what i was doing i didnt see the text when they talked :|and you dont always have to repeat its a RP game when referring to me i know its a RP game :D and thats why i love this game even thou its not out yet

This forum is not exclusively for you, Tokugawa. :) Other people read the forum and yes, I do have to constantly repeat the purpose of this game. When you post here, you post questions that others will read.
BTW, it would be MUCH better if you would ask your questions in threads titled for that topic. Listing a ton of questions under the FAQs thread does not help.
