Use of Private messages

I just changed permissions so that you cannot use private messages until you are approved by me. That means you have to post first! It could take 24 hours to be approved. I won't approve the message if its generic..such as "Hi, I am new."

Unfortunately, we had many forum users getting advertisements in their PMs, including me!

So if you have posted and are confused as to why you can't send PMs, blame on those that abuse the system.

Feel free though to post a message on the forum and I will approve you as soon as I see it. It could take a day or two for this to happen. Be patient!

Silly...laughs..He is banned for sending spam to everyone's PM box with a link to some website that has nothing to do with Adellion.

Yeah, I got that too, and got rather puzzled as well. It was a link to something about Buddhism I believe. PM also contained a quote from Albert Einstein about it.

Regardless of the intrigue, spamming PMs is not good. If a regular does it, I will only take away their ability to PM. But this guy wasn't even approved yet. He had never posted.

The message was fine..if posted on the forum for all to see..in off-topic.

The link was not fine and the way it was sent, mass to everyone, as spam.

The message in spam may not be a bad one and it might even be something interesting...but we don't allow spam on these forums. Jessie stays banned because I don't think he/she cares about Adellion but was using our forums as a place to post spam...probably getting paid for each time it was posted.
