Hi and welcome Tom,
The most important thing about this game is that it'll be enforced roleplaying and the environment will be set up to support that. I don't exactly know what you want to read so could you be more specific?

Well it's good to see you have taken the first step into the community. :)
I am Spikelema and I welcome you.
Any questions you have may have already been answered in the forum before but if you can't find just ask and one of the members will gladly help you. This is focused around Roleplaying at the moment so if you have roleplayed in a forum before you will fit right in, if not just click on Lost Plains in my signature and join in the Beginners RP great for practicing and the other members will gladly point you in the right direction.
Welcome Tom,
Adellion is alittle different from the other games out there. Its a game designed by roleplayers for roleplayers. There are no monsters to kill or loot,no levels to obtain. Those used to non stop action, will be a little taken back at first. This is not to say there will not be action in Adellion, there will be and the type of action you generally can't do in most games. You through your roleplay and working with others can potentially be the leader of Kingdom or Realm. Peacefully, or not so peacefully. Eventually there will even be wars between the realms.
That said, the vast majority will not be seeking to be the Leader of a Realm, but busy crafting or farming or just living a normal medieval life. Its about community. Most will be a part of a community, perhaps a member of the Baker's Guild or perhaps the village black smith repairing the plows for the farmers before the begining of the spring plowing.
Too mundane? Then perhaps you want to be a pirate living by your wits? Or perhaps an explorer finding the secrets of lost civilizations?
You can take on just about any role you like, only now its going to be along more believable lines. You will have to eat, you will get tired and need rest. If you get seriously wounded it may take a long time to heal or you may even be crippled or maimed for life!
Check it out in our FAQ and see if its for you, if it is then come on and join in the fun!

Hello and welcome Tom.
One big thing to remember about Adellion is that it's Permadeath. While your character has 3 (I think) "near death" experiences, once your dead you can't play your character again. But you can always start a new and better one :)
That's the only really general important thing I can think of that hasn't been said. If you want to know more you'll have to be more specific.

Welcome.
Best piece of advice I can give you would be; If you plan on sticking around, beware of Gryvix. Damned penguin bites.
Seriously this time, get the hang of roleplaying if you've never tried it before. While forum-based and game-based are different, the former will allow you to function better at the latter. Or, you know, not. I don't really know.

Welcome there Tom!
It's good to see new interested faces around here.
It has already been mentioned but.. Adellion teaches patients, but I believe that this game is a Roleplayer's dream!

I concur. That is possibly the best description I have yet read.

I like it..but the first paragraph puts too much emphasis on taking over leadership roles, peacefully or not. This is not going to be that easy to do. Even with the RTS system, wars will not be huge battles on the game terrain...so we need to be careful not to mislead people.
Otherwise, very nice.
