To all,
I would like to wish you a very happy and healthy New Year. For those of us working at HonourBound, events towards the end of the previous year, including the hacking of one of our sites, put some of our final year plans on hold for a bit, as we were forced to turn our attentions to matters of security. That was the bad news.
The good news, as we move forward, is this year we expect to present you with a lot more information on Adellion, how it will look, how it will play, and what you can do to get involved before the game officially starts. We plan to open up Adellion to increasing numbers of testers and fans as we solicit more feedback and begin the process of “game balancing” our systems.
Of course Adellion is a very different kind of game from the other MMO’s out there so expect us to be very flexible as we look for what creates realistic roleplay and what just seems to be too tedious to live with.
Core systems are nearing completion and our files of music, models and artwork are growing daily. Our focus has shifted from common items to those of the individual cultures (and some unique items that will give the game its underlying story).
And... We will be showing you some of that artwork in the coming weeks on an updated fan website! We have taken our cue from some of the more successful MMO community sites out there and begun a redesign of this website to fit with our theme of roleplay and community participation to make something new for you.
We will be preserving our forums so nothing will be lost, but expect the new site to be a bit more up to date, a bit flashier, and even more informative about the game, the cultures of Aiyure, and about what you will be able to do in Adellion.
I, and the rest of the team, am very much looking forward to seeing you all in the future – on our new website and in-game.
