  Science

The sciences of the Drulons are considered to be medium level technology. They can easily fashion most metals. Most of the sciences are developed through experimentation, capturing of technologies, especially from the sages of the northern realms.

  Education

Drulons believe that all Drulons are either "gifted" with the knowledge upon their birth or learn it upon the field of battle. Young Drulons are put through the Tests of Knowledge at an early age. These tests determine whether or not the Drulon was born with the "gifts" of it's parents. If a child is gifted, it immediately serves under the trade or profession of the parents and follows in the parent's footsteps. If the child is not gifted, the city's warriors will put the child through a series of warrior tests. These are known as the Kakaril (Rites of Warriorship). If the child passes the rites, they can enter the ranks of the warriors and be taught there. If not, then the Drulon is outcasted into the holy lands to fend for itself. Drulon outcasts are branded with the Mark of Shame. This mark is branded on the forehead of the child to show the world their shame.

The great swamp has a plentitude of natural resources that the Drulons trade with the outside world. The water from the cypress forests does not stagnate and has a sweet mild tea flavor and is highly sought after by sailors. The cypress wood itself is very much sought after since it is waterproof and does not rot. The swamp also contains quite a few peat bogs and the peat is harvested and dried for using in fire building. Quite a few hunters gather up the exotic hides and skins that come from the swamps creatures. Snake and alligator skins have become somewhat of a fashion trend in parts of the world. Lastly, the greatest resource of the swamp is its plants. Herbs, drugs, and poisons are all harvested from the swamp to be refined and sold. The most brilliantly colored dyes in the world come from some of the swamp flora and hence some of the greatest weavings and tapestries are also produced here. Some of the game meat from the swamp has also been sold as a delicacy from time to time.

Finished products exported are vibrant colored weavings, tapestries, baskets and pottery. Recently the weapons and armor of the kingdom have gained some interest from the outside world and exports have been increasing.
