Dalmites have inhabited the trees of the Mataril Woods for over a millennia. After the world’s chaotic upheavals had subsided, the people of Dal strove to rebuild their lives. Taking advantage of the protection the forest could provide, the Dalmites evolved to resemble a giant family. Hiding deep within the dense structure of the forest, the Dalmites are a society that is wary of that which is not the way of nature, and of those that do not respect the honor of forest life. Nurturing the growth of life, balanced with necessary death for survival, the forest has molded a people that celebrate each moment and accept that death will come when destined. Having a history of struggling for survival reflects their actions. They are passionate in their loyalty to their gods, family, friends, and homes, but they are experts at hiding their emotions from the enemy. It takes a strong will to master both the physical and mental disciplines for battle and Dalmites have had plenty of practice against nature’s predators.

Though Dalmites are nomadic in nature, most clans have in recent times, formed permanent or semi-permanent settlements, read and learn about how each of these are like.
